a library is like an island in the middle of a vast sea of ignorance

Who: Richard, Phillip, and any Editors lingering in the Library during the Story. (Whether through use of Ex-Media Res or other means.)
What: The Story is unfolding, and there is menial labor to be done. You didn't think it was the Library fixing all those bedsheets, did you?
When: Throughout the Story. (OOC timeline: January 23rd - March 20th.)
Where: In the Library itself.
Content warnings: Will add as they come up.

Without the Editors, the Library feels... different. The Stacks stand tall and hollow, the Lobby rings with music that echoes down the empty halls. The Safe Zone, once a boat, now appears in the form of an endless forest.

Those who have used Ex-Media Res to avoid the Story's start will enjoy the peace and quiet for only a few minutes before they discover they are not quite alone. They will invariably be accosted by an Assistant; at the Story's start, they are both equipped with cleaning supplies. Neither of them look excited about what they're going to do with them, and both will be pleased to see a lingering Editor who will be summarily conscripted into doing chores.

As the Story progresses through its various acts, the decor in the Library is replaced by more and more outrageous substitutes... Anyone who is returned to the Library after its start will find themselves confronted by two armies of inflatable toys in the Lobby, being appropriately armed by Phillip and disapprovingly rearranged by Richard. Some of the toys have clothes. At least one of them has a hole and is slowly deflating.

Nearby the Assistants, a simple sheet of paper rests upon a clipboard. The headers of 'P' and 'R' are written in tidy script, and beneath them are a series of tally marks. It looks like 'R' is winning.
